The humans on Dance With the Devil are exactly what their definition defines. While there are different subgroups of the humans on the site, they are all equally the same. The all belong to the Genus Homo and are all Homo Sapiens. Anything else that may make them different is only of their genetic makeup or how they were brought up. There are a few different groups among the humans and they will all be defined here.
HumansThis is the most simplest of the group. They are normal beings in the town and know next to nothing on the supernaturals. They live the normal human life and go about their life as if nothing were to happen to
them. They are the bait of the vampires and the friends of everyone else. They are the victims of werewolf mauls and vampire serial killers. These are the humans of White Pines.
HuntersThese are the humans that hunt the supernatural. Some grow up following their parents' footsteps, others are raised in the communities dedicated to taking out the supernaturals. But most of all these the ones people come to if a supernatural problem has gotten out of hand. Even the Supernatural Council come to the hunters to make sure the problem is sorted out before trouble arises. Hunters have a higher stamina than a normal human. This meaning their vision is slightly better, they can run a little bit faster, and they can lift a little more than normal, but this is all slightly more than the normal human. A werewolf and a vampire can still take them out.
PsychicsThese humans are a bit on the weird side. Let's just put it this way. They have a way with ghosts. And the other side. They also tend to be neutral parties when it comes to picking sides, but that's how the Council has crafted them out to be. Simply because they could give the opposing side the low down on where enemies are hiding if they are hiding, aka the vampires. But Psychics have a way with speaking to the ghosts.
WitchesThese humans may perhaps be the most powerful of the subgroup of Humans, but don't get cocky with these witches. Their powers don't develop well until they are nearly an adult. To even know that they are a witch, once puberty hits they may show some signs of it developing, but they don't come into their powers well beyond the end of puberty and into the early stages of their adult life around the age of 20 years or so. There are two sub groups of Witches. The White Witch and the Black Witch. This meaning White Magic and Black Magic. Both have their own abilities, but even then they are still limited to what they can do. They can use nature to work with them, but they are limited to what they can use. Not everything will work with them, especially if one tries to rock as armor, it won't work.

Necromancers are very different than witches and should not be confused with witches. Necromancers have only one specific power and that is able to raise zombies or control the dead. They keep along the same track of life style with humans and the lifespan, but they are able to raise the dead, zombies in this case or weak vampires, if they have enough power to do so. But most of all Necromancers start off small. They don't have full control of their powers until they are well into their adult lives after puberty. They may have small occurrences when they are children with a house pet coming back to life or along those lines, but to bring back a human of any sort is well into their teen years and beyond. Even at that age they still can't raise a human corpse.
Each Necromancer is different and their powers vary, if they are given enough guidance they may become stronger with age or they may stay the same throughout their life. The stronger the necromancer the older the dead the body they can bring back. This includes vampires as well. The older the vampire, the stronger the vampire is to avoid being held down by a necromancer. A necromancer cannot control an Original Vampire. This is because the Originals are held down by a different vein of magic and are much to old to be controlled by a necromancer.
Abilities
White Witches- Can use nature to channel their magics. (This means the trees, animals, plants, the elements. Rocks or mountains cannot be used)
- Has the ability to calm animals, control them.
- Cannot create or control weather.
Dark Witches- Can use nature to channel their magics, but take on the darker side of nature.
- Has the ability to channel the underworld or the spirits of dead witches call upon their powers.
- Has the ability to channel the elements.
- Cannot create or control weather.
Psychics- Can sense the dead and communicate with them.
- Can foresee small events, a death in the family, an accident happening. Anything that foresees with a NPC. You will need permission from the player to foresee something for said character.
- Have the ability to block someone from reading their mind. This be a vampire or another psychic.
- Have the ability to sense things around them that may include danger, but cannot pinpoint where the event will happen or when. This also includes who will be involved, all that is know that something will happen.
Necromancers- All necromancers are capable of sensing, summon, raising and commanding
the dead. They can sense the dead in the graves, feel old they are, and
even
try and sense how old vampires are.
- Necromancers cannot locate vampires.
- All necromancers can see and communicate with the dead.
- Not all necromancers can summon the dead. This meaning, the older the person/zombie being summoned the stronger the necromancer must be. New necromancers can summon zombies who have been recently dead, but cannot summon a zombie as easily as twenty years dead, unless someone is helping them.
Hunters- Hunters are normal humans, but are more flexible than the normal human. They even be stronger and faster after going through rigorous training to be able to catch up to their prey that they hunting, whether it be a vampire or a werewolf. Anything of the supernatural.
- Hunters still heal at human speed. There is nothing that can fix the healing process unless a witch or vampire helps with the healing.
- Above all else, hunters are just that, they are normal humans. They will age the slow death of a human unless bitten or turned, but they will always be a hunter.
