Okay guys, so after hanging out on site with you all for a little while and chatting with Amethyst about it, we've (her and I) decided that I'm going to take over the IC Chat and stuff. Oh, Amethyst promoted me to an Admin so, wooo yay me! So, there's some new fun rules for the IC Box that will make it (I hope) a lot more fun! So, here they are! I'll explain them after.
1) Please keep it PG-13. This hasn't been a problem in the past.
2) The IC Box is now instead of just being a chat for our characters, it's going to be a communal area in White Pines. Sort of like a bar you could say where our characters can hang out.
3) Directly related to rule 2, the IC Box is now CANON. Meaning, how your character would act in a thread they would act in the IC Box. So for example, Alessandro acts like a cocky asshole, because in his mind, he is. Cameron and Elena are all mushy when they're together because that's just how they are.
4) Please for the love of all that is holy (This is more of a my preference and not actually a rule >.>) Please please please stop using chat speak and emoticons in the IC Chat, it drives me nuts >.> again, not a rule. Just a preference.
5) No god-modding/OP-ing whatever. We all know this.
Okay, so the reasoning behind this. For me personally, I like the IC Chat as a plot device. I find that sometimes it helps when you're having a hard time writing to give your characters some face time so they can interact and you can see how they act with someone. I also like to use it to try things out. So, for Cameron and Elena for example. Elocine and I will put them in there and then try out something that we will use in a thread. Because that's just how we are. Personally, I think it sometimes makes the threads easier when you have a place to test out ideas instead of writing a post and needing to change something, you know? So, that's why we're doing this.
So, to summarize. The IC Chatbox is now CANON. I think that if you guys give this new way a chance it'll be a lot more fun and everyone will have a good time!
