Inside a Mold
He had already been busy whole afternoon cleaning his living room. A normal person would still think the room was a complete mess although there was a huge difference with the same living room only 3 hours ago. Most of the collection of left overs was gone and once again you could actually sit on his big arm-chair. For now this would be good enough and Thomas was longing for some fresh air. After putting back the cleaning materials he had used he went outside without putting his coat on. It actually was a little bit too cold to walk in the woods without a coat but Thomas was focused on different things that the outdoor temperature. He was walking quite fast towards one of his favourite places, the log cabin. He knew it was a popular place for teenagers to party and get drunk...but at this time of the day it would probably be empty. The cabin log was the perfect place for him to look for interesting animals. The trash that surrounded the cabin log after a party would attract different kinds of wild life. They would be all gone when he arrived but some of then would die withing a few miles because of some strangely coloured edible substance. Still the search would start at the cabin, and Thomas could find it with ease.
He was only a few miles away from the cabin and could already see the big pile of junk lying outside the cabin. Beer bottles, empty plastic wrappers, several small zipper bags and lots of greezy popcorn were covering the ground surrounding the cabin. He slowly walked closer and nearly trapped over a group of bottles. After getting steady on his feet again he looked around carefully to make sure he was completely alone. After being sure he was completely alone he slowly opened the door of the cabin and took a short look around. There was no one inside, and the mess on the cabin floor was even bigger than it was outside. The food lying on the floor pointed out that the party must have taken place only quite a couple of days ago. The chocolate chip cookies lying on the floor were already covered with greenish mold. The mold had already grown bigger than the cookies were and looked like a small furry ball. Although it seemed quite ordinary Thomas had never seen this kind of mold before and started wondering what kind of mold this could be. In general he liked studying bigger living creatures but studying this mold under his microscope would be a pleasant change. He picked up one of cleaner empty bags that was lying on the floor and started collecting the mold covered crumbs into the bag. Totally focused on the job he didn't realised someone else was entering the log cabin.......
